John Randolph Medical Center Offers Free Prostate Cancer Screenings
(HOPEWELL, VA) August 19, 2008 Since prostate cancer usually has no signs or symptoms in its early stages, nearly 30,000 men will needlessly die of prostate cancer this year. With early diagnosis and treatment, chances of survival increase significantly.
In recognition of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, John Randolph Medical Center is offering free prostate cancer screenings on Tuesday, September 9. The screenings will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Outpatient Surgery Department.

In addition to offering free seminars and screenings to educate the public on preventing cancer, John Randolph Medical Center offers oncology care in association with CJWs Thomas Johns Cancer Hospital. Accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, the Cancer Program offers outpatient infusion, chemotherapy, and inpatient and surgical services.
